Once lying dormant just outside the window of my home studio in our old, Connecticut farmhouse, I have tried to breathe life into these bottles once again. Perhaps you can see the untold stories they left behind? More importantly, maybe it can help each one of us to think about the future generations who may unearth our cast offs, garbage and debris. Will they be inspired to create paintings of our refuse or will they wag their heads in judgement? That future is still a long way off but the choice is ours to make today.

Paolucci’s use of a line of subjects was interesting to us but the details leave us with little to no information on meaning. A concept we are still grappling with is why a mundane object, indeed an item of apparent refuse, could still garner such fascination by Paolucci. Of course, looking at the final painting the answer is obvious; but what was that moment in time where she decided to use these discarded items as fine art subjects? Further research into her personality profile may reveal more clues.
