Still Lifes & Objects

A series of still life oil paintings and objects that play with light and shadow and pushing pigment.

Pet Portraits

Pets are important creatures in our lives. The best gifts to give are the ones that cannot be bought in any store. I can paint your pet (dog, cat, horse, hedgehog, etc) in a way that will capture his or her personality and forever hang on your wall and in your heart.

Most of these are painted in oil. I can also do pencil sketches for a more classical look. Email me today to discuss a portrait of your favorite animal.

hand Series, elements of creation

Hands are how we interact with the world around us, and connect us to the physical and the sensory. This is an ongoing body of work that focuses solely on hands that create things: art, crafts, music. Hands that are turning something ordinary into the extraordinary. These paintings were featured at the Hartford Public Library’s Artwalk in 2016.

A few of these paintings are available as prints. You can access them here.

MFA Series, seven brief lessons on physics

These paintings are a part of a series I created for my MFA in Illustration from the Hartford Art School. These eight paintings are based on the fascinating book “Seven Brief Lessons on Physics” by Carlo Rovelli. There are eight total illustrations as well as a handmade book.

"Ever since we discovered that Earth is round and turns like a mad spinning top, we have understood that reality is not as it appears to us: every time we glimpse a new aspect of it, it is a deeply emotional experience. Another veil has fallen."
~ Carlo Rovelli
